Love, D.Jenee’ is all about empowering and encouraging women to find their voice, their style, and encourage their freedom of expression. The Golden Tears Collection focuses on our psychological struggle with pain. I hear, observe, and deal with this pain daily. My whole life I have been told, in many different ways, to suck it up, and still do. A greater issue is, black women don’t always have the privilege of getting the emotional help they need for trauma’s they’ve experienced over a lifetime. With the CO-OP collection, my hope was to create a conversation around women banding together and building one another up despite each others differences. Now, with this new collection, I want to provoke the conversation and awareness around mental and psychological health for black women.

These are golden tears, and instead of holding us down, wallowing in the struggle, they propel us into our destiny.
